NATHAN RUMBLEY

Piano

Nathan Rumbley was born and raised in the Orlando area and began teaching himself piano by ear at the age of 12 and later taught himself to read music by using basic piano method books. When he was 14, he began taking formal music lessons after auditioning and being accepted into the studio of Professor Keiko Onuki Andrews at Rollins College. This led Nathan to being accepted into the Dr. Phillips High School Magnet Program for visual and performing arts.

During his college years, Nathan majored in piano performance at Seminole State College, under the direction of Stetson University Professor Dr. Kristie Borne which led to being accepted into the studio of internationally acclaimed Steinway artist, and world-renowned concert pianist, Professor Laurent Boukobza; in whom served as the Director of Music and Chair of Piano Studies at the University of Central Florida.

During Nathan’s first semester in college, he was given an incredible opportunity to teach beginner class piano for the schools Community Ed Program. This new-found avenue led Nathan into his career path of teaching music professionally which formally began in 2006. Since that time, Nathan has worked with thousands of students one on one and in multiple group class environments. Some of these teaching highlights include: Seminole State College, Band Room, Gardens Music School, Naples Piano Studio, Piano Distributors, Avalon School of Music, Orlando School of Music, and many more.

Relocating to the Treasure Coast in 2017, Nathan began in his dream pursuit of starting his own music education business which came to be known as Musical Advantage. Outside of operating Musical Advantage, Nathan has also served as Musical Director for The Weiss School, Growing Minds Academic Center, and All About Achieving Learning Center.
